Submissions – Editorial Evaluation Principles

Ivory Tower Journal

Ivory Tower Journal is committed to publishing thoughtful, rigorous, and forward-thinking work across scientific, medical, systems, and interdisciplinary domains. All submissions are reviewed using a structured editorial evaluation process designed to assess clarity, coherence, and intellectual integrity.

Our goal is not to favor particular viewpoints, but to ensure that published work meets high standards of logical and conceptual quality.

How Submissions Are Evaluated

Every manuscript is reviewed according to the following principles:

1. Clarity of Thesis

Submissions must clearly state their central idea, hypothesis, or framework. The primary claim should be understandable and identifiable early in the manuscript.

2. Internal Logical Consistency

Arguments must proceed in a coherent, stepwise manner. Conclusions should follow from stated premises, and key terms or variables must be used consistently throughout.

3. Conceptual and Mathematical Coherence

Where mathematics, models, or formal structures are used, they must be internally consistent and clearly defined. Conceptual arguments must avoid circular reasoning and unsupported leaps.

4. Engagement With Physical or Biological Reality

Claims that interact with established physical, biological, or systems principles should acknowledge known constraints or clearly describe how the work extends, challenges, or reframes them.

Ivory Tower Journal welcomes bold and unconventional ideas, but they must be presented with intellectual responsibility and structural rigor.

5. Systems Awareness

Submissions are strengthened when they recognize interactions, feedback, limits, or regulatory relationships within the systems they describe, rather than treating components in isolation.

6. Testability and Falsifiability

While purely theoretical work is welcome, authors should strive to describe potential observations, experiments, or logical tests that could support or challenge their ideas.

7. Originality and Contribution

Submissions should offer new insights, new frameworks, meaningful synthesis, or useful clarification of complex subjects.

Editorial Outcomes

After review, a manuscript may be:

  • Accepted
  • Accepted with Revisions
  • Invited for Revision and Resubmission
  • Declined

Authors receiving revision requests will be given guidance to strengthen clarity or coherence.

Scope of the Journal

Ivory Tower Journal welcomes submissions in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Systems science and complex systems
  • Medicine and physiology
  • Foundational physics and cosmology
  • Consciousness and cognition
  • Interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks
  • Diagnostic and clinical innovation

Submission Contact
